Nan Tien Temple – Wollongong…

On our way back from staying at the grandparents home on the south coast the girls and I spent a few hours visiting the Nan Tien Buddhist Temple in Wollongong.
It was an interesting place to visit and in many ways very reminiscent to the Buddhist temple we visited when we were in Hong Kong (including the vegetarian lunch we ate and excepting that this was a modern construction :))
Note: These images (especially the wider shots) look much better when larger – so click any of the images below to see larger versions in an inline overlay slideshow gallery viewer.
The stairs leading up to the Pagoda
If you follow the path up the hill above the temple grounds you’ll find this bell which the girls enjoyed ringing…
inside one of the shrines – they are all very very decorated
a couple from the large Lotus pond – I was very happy with how these turned out with the 70-300 (still a very underrated lens I reckon)

and the girls just having a good time 🙂

I absolutely love the second flower shot. Gorgeous toning, composition and colours.
