Old and New…
by Rodney Campbell on Mar.04, 2017, under Life, Photography
Like many places in Japan it is a real juxtaposition of the old and new. We were just wandering about the city after visiting the grounds of Hiroshima Castle. We were visiting this large shopping centre and decided to have lunch in one of the restaurants at the top of the building. Like many of these places you get a magnificent view from the open area on the roof.
Taking a Long View
This enabled me to take a nice stitched panorama from the top of the building looking over the gardens and the city below.
Note: These photographs (especially the wider shots) look much better when larger. To see larger versions in an inline overlay slideshow gallery viewer click any of the images.
Hiroshima Castle even pokes above the trees in the distance. In the middle of the panorama above. As can bee seen in this tighter frame.

Patience on the Coalface…

The end of a more than acceptable sunrise seascape session.
Jangle Jungle
We’d come here expecting… well not much – basically 100% overcast skies and rain really.
Here is Gerry trying his hand at a BigStopper long exposure. It was time to head off so we only had the patience for just one more shot :).
