This trippy light installation by Michael Hayden is called “Sky’s the Limit”. It is in the tunnel connecting concourses B and C of Terminal 1 of the Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport

A series of moving walkways connect underneath 250 metres of rainbow neon tubes that light up and reflect off overhead mirrors
We were leaving Chicago today (heading to New York) and I’d read about this installation at the airport. Since we had a little time I made a beeline to photograph it
Dragging the shutter quite a bit (half a second) to slightly blur the travellers I was relying on good handheld technique along with the Z7’s inbuilt image stabilisation to render a nice sharp image of the scene

Contemporary Drama
Downward Spiral

I was back again at Chicago’s Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA)
Downward Spiral
I was hoping to get another shot at it’s fantastic central spiral staircase. The event which was being held here was still on. This time however the staircase wasn’t cordoned off so I was able to make my way upstairs to photograph with a little more freedom
I hadn’t unfortunately brought my ultrawide 14-30mm lens with me on this walk so I had to make do with a 24mm view
Still I was pretty happy with the end result
