Beam Me Up

I wanted to redo the “beam shots” version of the Opera House I’d taken before Vivid opened. So I returned to the scene and this time I adjusted my position like I wished I had after shooting last time
Here I’m situated again in the middle of the four projection booths. But instead of shooting at the same height as the projector front elements I’ve dropped to floor level. So the camera is position just above the floor and about 1m below the level of the projectors. Thus instead of the beams coming in from the side and over the projection itself I’ve got the beams coming down from above
To me this results in a much better composition and it doesn’t introduce as much haze over the projections on the sails
