So the bioluminescence was a complete bust. We’d just driven 3 hours from Sydney to Jervis Bay so we weren’t leaving empty handed
It was time for Plan B. We already knew it should be a good night for some milky way/astro action so…
We turned around on the beach and faced away from where the bioluminescence “should” have been and took in the breathtaking milky way
To get things started… this is a 5 frame manually adjusted vertical panorama. Taken with the outstanding Nikkor Z 20mm f/1.8 lens. The composition includes from facing level forward all the way to looking directly up
It was so dark here I couldn’t actually see anything through the viewfinder. So I had to adjust the framing and overlap of the frames by feel. Basically guessing :). I wasn’t entirely hopeful for a successful stitch but here we are…
