On the track towards Lake Marian. We didn’t have the time nor energy to do the full 3 hour hike to Lake Marian (even though it is purported to be spectacular). So we made do with the shorter 30 minute round trip along the river

A brief stop at the Mirror Lakes on our way to Milford Sound. The weather wasn’t particularly great with light rain and 100% overcast skies. I’d have preferred to have shot a long exposure at sunrise or sunset (during winter :)). Not really an option holidaying with the family in motorhomes :). This was the best I could do quickly handheld

Field of Dreams
The start of a few weeks of touring around New Zealand’s South Island with my family. Our first international family holiday for a while
We’d hired two motorhomes (one for my wife and I to sleep in, and a four berth for the girls to sleep in). Our journey started at Queenstown where we flew in and picked up the motorhomes. To begin our adventure we were travelling to Milford Sound
This is our first real look at some Lupins along the Eglinton River next to the Milford Te Anau Highway
