We were travelling to Mount Cook today. On the way you drive through what is known as Lindis Pass

There’s a roadside viewing area on the way about half way through. If you “accidentally” go further up the hill on a well worn path you get a significantly better view. It’s very steep and a pretty arduous 15 minute “climb” but the view is definitely worthwhile

Flying the drone from up there would afford an even better view you’d think… lets see…

The drive along Lake Wakatipu back towards Queenstown is pretty spectacular with long windy sections of road right along the cliffline. This is at the Devil’s Staircase Lookout Point
