Merlion Park
During the day this whole area at Merlion Park is absolutely packed. Taking a 19 frame panorama (actually 6 horizontal frames with each having 3 to 4 exposure bracketed shots) at 5:40AM helps when there’s almost no-one around
This panorama encompasses a 180˚ view. From the Esplanade and Jubilee Bridges on the left; past the Esplanade Concert Hall, the Singapore Flyer in the middle, the ArtScience Museum, the MBS; the Merlion and the Fullerton on the right

Marina Bay Sands
My wife and I were taking a quick trip to Singapore. It’s a city we’d only ever been in the airport as we transited through. This time we’d be visiting the city proper
This is the start of my very early first morning there. We were staying at the Shangri-La for the first part of our stay. So I got up stupidly early to get down to Merlion Park to shoot across the bay at sunrise. Since I took a taxi down rather than catch public transport like I’d originally planned I got there WAY too early :). This is actually ~5:30AM (90 minutes before sunrise). The moisture in the air was stupendous and combined with the 30˚ temperature made for an uncomfortable humid experience. It also led to quite a lot of lens fogging and a slightly dreamy look to many of my images 🙂
