Mandrakia
We visited another sleepy little coastal fishing village called Mandrakia. Again it’s about a 10 minute drive from Plaka on Milos
I was particularly keen to (photographically) visit this village because it has this nice little circular cove with these coloured fishing huts dug into the cliff along with their brightly painted stairs
I had a few specific drone shots I had pre-planned and wanted to take here. The weather was looking a little threatening so as soon as I arrived I put the drone up and started shooting before the rain arrived
Here’s two 180 panoramas taken at relatively quite low levels to set the scene

Firopotamos
You can play “Where’s Louise” and spot her in this top down image over Firopotamos and it’s church (Church of Agios Nikolaos). Pretty easy when there’s literally no-one else around at 9:30AM 🙂

Firopotamos
The waters here in the Greek Islands are so vibrant and greeny blue. Plus these shots are with the drone and unfiltered (I don’t run a polariser on my mini 3 pro since I’m almost always taking (180Ëš and 360Ëš) panoramas with it – and polarisers and wide panoramas with skies do not mix well)
Note also the crazy colourful cliffs and rocks – no surprise Milos was and is a hive of mineral mining activity

Firopotamos
On an overcast morning we drove to the sleepy little fishing village of Firopotamos. It’s on the northern coastline of Milos and only about a 10 minute drive from Plaka where we were staying
The water here is SOOO clear and vibrant greeny blue. I suspect from all the minerals what leak from the soft volcanic rocks that make up the island
This shot an 8 frame handheld panorama with the “real” camera…Â Time to get out the drone
