A for Athens

A for Athens

NIKON Z 7 + NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S @ 42 mm, 1/50 sec at f/8, ISO 125

For our last night in Athens Sue had booked for us all to have a sunset dinner at A for Athens. The restaurant has rooftop dining with a commanding view over Monastiraki square and a great view of the Acropolis behind

We had a table right at the front so had a perfect view

I setup my 360 camera to do a day to night timelapse and clamped it to the railing at our table and let it run. When I get around to processing my footage from the Insta360 X4 I’ll post the result

Here are a few shots at different times which I took with my “real” camera

Tomorrow we’re off to the first of our Greek Islands adventure…

NIKON Z 7 + NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S @ 31 mm, 1/30 sec at f/5, ISO 900

Parthenon

NIKON Z 7 + NIKKOR Z 24-120mm f/4 S @ 24 mm, 1/160 sec at f/8, ISO 64 x 4 Frames

We’d all booked tickets to visit the Acropolis and the Parthenon for the earliest time slot the next morning (8AM entry). The idea being that it wouldn’t be too busy and we’d avoid the heat of the middle of the day

As Sue said… lots more rocks 🙂

DJI Mini 3 Pro FC3582 + 6.7 mm f/1.7 @ 6.72 mm, 1/500 sec at f/1.7, ISO 100

There’s an exclusion zone around the Acropolis itself so I stayed around Filopappou Hill and took my shots from afar. We did see someone flying a drone (at night) right on top of the Acropolis and around the buildings one night
