Nighttime Dreaming

Star trails from our second storey balcony – a little nighttime dreaming

It was a cold clear night around the time of the new moon. Time to try some more star trails in the heart of Sydney. This time facing North from an outdoor balcony

I started this one running at 7:25PM and just left it running overnight. Or rather till the battery died which was around 11:15PM. Almost 4 hours and an insane 1317 frames later!!!

In hindsight I should have wrapped the lens in something. Since it started fogging up a touch after about 2 hours in. The frames were still usable right up till the end (you could still see the stars) but there was some noticeable blur by the end especially on the foreground trees
