A little further downstream from Weeping Rock are these lovely sequence of smaller cascades. It’s a beautiful spot. Probably even good for a swim… and the circular eddies are excellent for bringing your items (like an umbrella) back to you… just sayin’…
However one upside if your feet are already saturated there’s less concern about walking out into the flow a little to get a better angle on the river

The Curve
A 16 Frame stitched panorama at Weeping Rock. The pano is 5 vertical frames wide and I manually bracketed each of the positions. I also adjusted the polariser at each position to optimise the level of polarisation to best deal with the extensive glare on the wet rocks and reveal that rich orange below
That lovely curved handrail and steps along with the smoothly flowing water was too hard to pass up here
For Natalie and Donovan who were interested in the arca panning clamp I’m using atop my ballhead. You can see here even with relatively close objects (like the end of the handrail) at 24mm, automatic stitching wasn’t a problem. Even with the rotation not happening around the lens nodal point with this simple setup
The conditions ended up being perfect for photographing exposed waterfalls like this. 100% overcast skies for soft shadowless light and still some mist and fog around

Weeping
Last day of the Focus long weekend away in the Blue Mountains
It had rained quite a bit overnight and it was still raining in the morning. We’d arrived at the Wentworth Falls carpark and just sat in the car hoping the rain would eventually stop. Just on sunrise it was looking more promising so we headed down here to Weeping Rock falls

Sunblessed
A sunset session at Hargraves Lookout in the Blue Mountains with the Focus crew. Great views over Megalong valley from here
I’d not been to this spot before and we walked out to Panorama Point (where this image was taken). We’re looking back towards where the sun was just about to drop below the heavier clouds and set. A touch of golden god rays lighting the hilltops below
Even using a reverse grad I’ve had to bracket and blend the exposures to retain detail
