Sigi Ikthios

Time for an early(ish) dinner… well… because I wanted to go photograph things at sunset 🙂
Even though it looks like full daytime it wasn’t actually all that early – it’s after 7PM but sunset isn’t for another 90 minutes 🙂
Anyway we did eat some great food – including of course grilled octopus since we’re by the water in Greece! 🙂

I can see the table where we just had dinner just down over there … actually… it’s one of the ones on the right – we ate at Sigi Ikthios – I’ll post a 360˚ pic from there soon (to make Gerry happy :))

Questioned
The Venetian Fort of Naoussa is located in the old port. Initially constructed in the 15th century by the Venetians, the fortress was used as a watchtower for pirate and enemy attacks and as a front line in times of war. Its location was very convenient for surveilling the Aegean Sea
Nowadays, just a part of this fort has been preserved; namely, a half-submerged watchtower that is connected to the mainland with a short causeway

Naoussa 180
Naoussa on the Greek island of Paros from the air – after dinner but before sunset
Taking off from out at the old historic Venetian Castle (that round ruins out in the water) is convenient and it’s also where I planned to take some sunset/twilight long exposures with my “real” camera
This fishing town is really quite pretty, classic greek homes (white cubes) and a myriad pretty boats along the waterfront
