Naoussa

by on Jul.02, 2024, under Photography

We’d travelled by ferry from Milos to the greek island of Paros. We were again staying far away from the main port town (Parikia)

Here on Paros we’d be staying at the lovely (but very touristy) fishing village of Naoussa. Again we’d hired a car for our stay – and again we got a Fiat Panda. This one was a brand new 2024 Fiat Panda Hybrid, which was actually an excellent vehicle and was great to drive (even had Carplay)

This 360˚ full spherical panorama with the Insta360 X4 is taken in the main boat harbour of Naoussa. Surrounded by all the restaurants and bars, this is THE happening place later in the evening and all night :). Our accomodation was quite close to here, about 1 or 2 minutes walk

One thing the Greek islands have an abundance of is cats. I could publish a whole book of cat images 🙂

DJI Mini 3 Pro FC3582 + 6.7 mm f/1.7 @ 6.72 mm, 1/40 sec at f/1.7, ISO 100 x 4 Frames

Our last night in Plaka, our last night on Milos. Our ferry to our next island (Paros) leaves at 8AM from the port town of Adamantas

In the second image we’re looking down on the main part of Plaka. The lit up laneways are where most of the restaurants and shops (many of which only open from 9PM till late :)) are

Plaka Pre Sunset

Plaka Pre Sunset

Plaka Pre Sunset

DJI Mini 3 Pro FC3582 + 6.7 mm f/1.7 @ 6.72 mm, 1/320 sec at f/1.7, ISO 110 x 21 Frames

Three 180˚ panorama’s of Plaka on the island of Milos taken with the drone around sunset. The first just a little before sunset (8:20PM), the next just as the sun dipped over the horizon (8:34PM) and the last during early twilight after sunset (8:40PM)

If you look closely in the first two you can see our apartment and outdoor balcony. It’s just a couple buildings to the right of the famous Church of Panagia Korfiatissa. It also sits along the cliffs edge and it’s open outdoor terrace is a magnet for sunset watchers as it has a similar (tho more crowded) view as ours

Vertical Drop

DJI Mini 3 Pro FC3582 + 6.7 mm f/1.7 @ 6.72 mm, 1/180 sec at f/1.7, ISO 110 x 4 Frames

This vertical panorama probably best shows the location of where we were staying in Plaka and the reason for it’s uninterupted 180˚+ views. If you look straight down in the image near the bottom… that outdoor balcony with the four daybeds which reaches out and looks like it’s almost hanging over the cliff is where we were staying – not for people who suffer from vertigo 🙂
