Barriello

It was our last night on the Greek island of Milos. I decided to try on the the restaurants that was located in the nearby village of Trypiti. They say that Trypiti is where the rich folk live (sort of like Vaucluse here in Sydney)
There are a number of well regarded restaurants in Trypiti but one that came highly recommended was Barriello. We decided to walk here (instead of drive) from our accomodation in Plaka (it was only about a 15 minute walk). Alas we didn’t plan to stay long and fully enjoy the experience… as… well… I wanted to get back to our place before sunset so I could fly the drone :). The food and service however were both excellent and we left satisfied

O! Hamos!

We drove to Adamantas (which is the main port town on Milos) to have lunch. This place (O! Hamos!) came highly recommended and the food was good and very reasonably priced. We of course ordered more than we needed (what you see on the table was about half of it!) but it was good to try many interesting things
This full 360˚ spherical panorama was taken with our new Insta360 X4 – which we’ve affectionately named the stick camera (I mean will it’s a camera on a stick so …). It’s a fantastic little piece of kit. Not least because taking a full spherical pano like this with my “real” camera would entail all sorts of tripod and multi row pano rail gymnastics and about 20 minutes of time. Instead with the Insta360 I’m done in a few seconds and the camera also automatically removes the stick from the image!

Thoughtful
We went for a drive to an area along the southern coast of Milos island this morning to visit Paleochori. It is renowned for it’s colourful cliffs and it’s easy to see why. It’s also known for a restaurant that specialises in meals cooked in the hot sands. Alas it was way too early for lunch when we were here
Whilst Louise went for a walk to the end of the headland to take in the view I went for a quick drone flight to get a closer look at the cliffs and coastline
