If you wish to browse the World Wide Web you will first need a connection to the Internet and depending on your requirements you can determine which particular Internet Service Provider suits your needs. It is possible to access the Web through an EMail interface but generally if you want real time access to the Web your Internet Service Provider will need to be TCP/IP connected to the Internet. After this there are a number of considerations to be made:
After you are connected you may have a choice of Browsers you can use.
If you wish to become an Information Provider on the World Wide Web you will need to answer a number of similar questions to the above along with a few new ones which are covered in a later slide (See Creating an Information Server?).
